This Is Complete Bullshirt – FAQ

Curious about what you're getting into? Fair. Here's everything you probably wanted to know about This Is Complete Bullshirt (and a few things you didn't ask, but get anyway).

What is “This Is Complete Bullshirt”?

This Is Complete Bullshirt is a tiny, one-human operation based in Göttingen, Germany, selling concept-driven t-shirts inspired by philosophy, science, literature, and pop culture. Think of it as what happens when someone who reads too much also discovers vector graphics and caffeine.

Every design starts with an idea, a reference, or a bad pun that went too far — then gets turned into something you can actually wear in public.

Where are the shirts made?

All shirts are printed and fulfilled by Printful, a print-on-demand provider with facilities in multiple locations worldwide. That means your shirt is usually printed and shipped from the fulfillment center closest to you, which helps with both speed and shipping emissions.

How long does shipping take?

Each shirt is made to order, so there's a production time plus shipping time.

  • Production time: usually 2–5 business days
  • Shipping time: depends on your location and the fulfillment center, and is shown at checkout

For more detail (and the slightly more serious version of this answer), check the Shipping Policy.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Thanks to Printful's global network, we ship to most countries worldwide. If shipping isn't available to your location, the checkout page will let you know before you pay.

What sizes do you offer?

Shirts use standard unisex sizing, which usually means a slightly relaxed fit on most people. Because different products and manufacturers can vary a little, please check the size guide on each individual product page before you order.

If you're between sizes, going up one size is often the safer bet — especially if you like a looser fit.

What if my shirt arrives damaged or wrong?

That's on us, and we'll sort it.

If your shirt arrives damaged, misprinted, or not what you ordered, please report it within 30 days of receiving it and include a clear photo of the issue. Once it's confirmed, we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

For the fine print (the only kind of small print we like), check the Returns Policy.

Can I return or exchange if I ordered the wrong size?

Short version: no.

Because everything is printed on demand specifically for you, we can't accept returns or exchanges for size issues or buyer's remorse. That's why each product page includes a size guide — it's not just decorative, promise.

Please check the measurements carefully before you order. Measuring a t-shirt you already like and comparing it to the size chart is a surprisingly low-tech but effective hack.

How do I care for my shirt?

To keep the print looking sharp and the fabric happy for as long as possible, follow these care tips:

  • Machine wash cold, ideally on a gentle cycle
  • Wash the shirt inside out to protect the print
  • Avoid bleach and harsh detergents
  • Do not tumble dry on high heat — low heat or air dry is best
  • If you iron, avoid ironing directly on the print

I have a design idea or suggestion — what do I do?

Fantastic. The world needs more oddly specific shirt ideas.

If you have a concept, a reference, or just a chaotic sketch on a napkin, you can drop us a message or reach out via the Contact page. Can't promise every idea will become a shirt, but they will all be read and appreciated.

Where does the name come from?

It's a play on a certain not-very-family-friendly word you've probably heard shouted at the news, dressed up just enough to be printable on a t-shirt and still okay around your grandparents.

Also, it's literally what this is: a store full of shirts built around ideas, arguments, and references that may or may not be complete bullshirt, depending on how seriously you're taking things today.
